We're still kids. Saturday we went out costume shopping and skateboarding. We went to a big costume place to see if we could find a little something for Halloween. The first store had nothing, but by luck we found a second shop and I ended up getting my default Halloween costume. Cat ears and tail. Frank might buy a Viking helmet. Then we went to the skate park. I watched just like all the other parents that bring their kids to the park. And we were joined with our friend Camell. [Probably spelt his name wrong] It was nice, a little chilli, a little crowded, but still nice to be out.
And because we were out and didn't feel like going home we continued our day at the mall to pick up a cheap mp3 player that Camell wanted. And then he ended up buying a lot of other thigns. We laughed a lot as to how many times Camell can forget his skateboard. It was about 2-4 times in one day. We also picked up large sodas at GB [which is like a stop and shop] and Camell got a 2 euro toy from one of the vending machines. It was a pretty impressive Dragon Ball Z action figure. We had a quick dinner at the best fry place in the center along with a bodin sandwhich. A bodin is kinda like brotworst, but not exactly and it was good.
Then we went to the train station to catch a train to Lier to see our friend perform with his band at some bar that they have been playing for years, about 10! And of course the train was delayed 30 mins. So then our friend Allen couldn't pick us up at the other end of our journey. So when we arrived we had to figure out the map and make our way to the bar. And of course Frank likes to take the alternative route. Somehow through a park that was no where near where we had to go. Nice stroll along the river, looking for a bridge to corss, over course we crossed the wrong one. We ended up going in one giant circle. And started over sticking to the original route, while also asking for direction. We made it, but missed the first half of their 10 year reunion show. [band called Access to the Attic] And it was pretty good. It was really funny to see the changes the band went through all those years, like most people embarassing hair cuts throughout the years. Met some new people. Saw 2 others bars in another town that was about 40 mins over. Went by car which was really nice of our friend to drive us. And the whole night I'm sure everyone was thinking, should we just call it a night, cause Allen offered to drive us back to Belgium if the night started falling apart. Camell and Me fell asleep in the car ride over. I continued to sleep in the second bar. [I was half awake] Got made fun of by a new guy we met up with. But then I was making fun of him in the 3rd bar. Cause he fell asleep in that one. And just hung out till 6am till the trains started up again. Very cold in the morning. Saw the sun rise on the train. Not that imprssive cause it's Belgium, and cloudy, so just pretty colors, no sun. The guys fell asleep on the train so I kept watch for stops.
When Frank and I got home, we just headed for bed, it might of been 7 or 8 by this time. Funny thing is we ended up staying an extra hour out cause, and we didn't know, Day light savings!...woo hoo
